Here at Machine Tech, we run machines that are capable of both rotating-workpiece operations (turning) and rotating-tool operations (namely milling and drilling). With 12 milling machines our finish capacity is increased with most of our milling equipment within the lathe for increased automation and efficiency. From a 6”-18” Chuck size with 18” length to 13” thick by 57” long, we have the capacity for your intricate, low volume, high quality precision pieces, as well as the mass production you are looking for.
Our specialties are within our exacting tolerances with unmatched quality control that ensures high deliverable rates. We have the experience and expertise needed to produce parts for medical instruments, scientific communities, aerospace, military, petrochemical, and the industrial space using materials ranging from aluminum, alloy steel, carbon steel, copper, brass, iron, nickel, carbide, tungsten, to titanium.
Milling is the machining process of using rotary cutters to remove material from a workpiece advancing (or feeding) in a direction at an angle with the axis of the tool. The milling process removes material by performing many separate, small cuts. This is accomplished by using a cutter with many teeth, spinning the cutter at high speed, or advancing the material through the cutter slowly.
There are two major classes of the milling process:
CHUCK SIZE: 6″ – 18″
THRU HOLE SIZE: 2″ – 7.2″
PART SIZED: .375” dia. To 13” dia x 57” long
